sometimes you don't realize how fast time flies until you realize that you have to go back to school in two weeks and your still in chill mode, not even thinking about class or practices.. it's crazy how fast this summer has gone by for me, but there have been so many great things that've happened that i won't complain, not even once :)
my summer schedule basically consisted of work, workouts, teaching swimming lessons and basketball, and whatever free time i had left after that would usually be spent with friends, a super sweet boy, or listening to some great tunes!
summer is of course my favorite season. not just because class doesn't exist, for most people, but because of the weather and the time spent with people you don't get to see much all year.
ashley came home this last weekend, and i hadn't seen her since christmas time. so it was great to finally spend some time with her even if it was short.. she's just one of those friends that no matter what your doing or who your with your just comfortable hanging out. she's one of the most down to earth people i've ever met, and i missed her a ton. but i know she'll have a great year at school, and she'll get to be around people with similar interests and hobbies and that will make her a better person :) if she could get much better
also this summer i met this pretty sweet guy. his names jack. he goes to school in vermillion, sd. which is a long ways from where i go to school but right now we're not really worried about that. we're just enjoying our time together, and he's so great. we have a lot in common and everything is so easy with him. it's crazy how God works his magic and his plans for us. never ever did i think i'd meet a boy this summer, especially not one like jack. so i guess i'm just looking forward to what this year brings, and where he leads me. i have so much confidence in what he's doing for me and i feel so good about it.
my best friend abby got to come down last weekend as well to visit, which was so fantastic. she's one of those friends that makes you smile the minute she walks into the room. she just knows how to make someone happy, and i'm so lucky to have her. i can't thank her enough for everything she's helped me through this past year. it's unbelieveable. it was so good to see her and we got to do some pretty fun south dakota things like see the falls and falls park, and go to the wild water west waterpark, and spend some quality time at the beresford pool. it can't get much better.
God is so great.
i haven't had a lot of extra time to spend with people. but i am so grateful for the time i get.
so, in conclusion, i'm SUPER excited for all that this school year brings, i'll hopefully be playing basketball again :) which would be great! i'll make sure i keep updating occassionally on what's happening in this crazy, beautiful life.
